Maxim came to our home from Odessa, Ukraine as a first litter puppy of a fantastic combination of Kangelani and Maanhaar Primo-Creatures kennels. I cannot be more grateful to our breeder, Svetlana Krokhmal, who made this happen. I will never forget the trip from Budapest to Odessa, which seemed to be the longest and hottest trip by car in my life, but it was worth it, I would do it all again anytime.
A Rhodesian Ridgeback was the dream of my husband. Maxim was “The present” for his 30th birthday, so first we bought him as a family member, we didn't think about going to Dog shows. When Max was around 6 months old, we attended the II.RR Walk in Hungary, in which a lot of Hungarian breeders participated with approx. 40 dogs and they all were asking why we don’t show him. In September 2016 we took part in our first dog show. My handling was a big disaster, but the judge was kind and gave us our first CAC, though I had to promise that we would train a lot before our next show. About half year later I felt that we were ready to attend the Winter Dog Show in Budapest and the res.CACIB title which we won was a big step further for us. We learned slowly, attended a lot of shows, and though we think Maxim is not a typical "Show Dog", we did a great job and both are professionals now.
I’m happy that we attended that first show and worked hard to achieve the results we have now. We have met a lot of nice people and have started new friendships which last ever since.
Maxim has an excellent temperament, typical of his breed. He is strong-willed, confident and balanced with an aristocratic appearance. Due to consistent training he is very obedient and good natured. He has no problem with interacting other adult males. Though he does not make friends with them, he shows no aggression either.
